El primero de noviembre recien pasado, el Parque Nacional dio inicio a la temporada de ascensiones al cráter del volcán Villarrica.

Cada año más de 15.000 visitantes realizan la ascensión al volcán Villarrica. El volcán es reconocido a nivel internacional por ser uno de los más activo de Sudamérica, donde es posible observar en plenitud la actividad del pozo de lava en el cráter, a una altitud de 2.847 m.s.n.m..
Each year more than 15,000 visitors make the climb to the Villarrica volcano. The volcano is internationally recognized as one of the most active in South America, where it is possible to observe in full the activity of the lava pit inside the crater at an altitude of 2847 meters above sea level.


La ascensión al volcán está regulada por CONAF y cuenta con un reglamento de montaña, donde solo es posible realizarla a través de empresas que cuentan con equipo y personal especializado.
